What We Can Help With

Most of the email we receive falls into one of a few categories. Here's what we're best positioned to answer:

Tool errors or bugs

Noticed a result that looks wrong or a page that won't load? Send us the exact inputs you used and the result you saw. The more specific, the faster we can reproduce and fix it.

Methodology questions

Want to understand how we derived a formula or why our estimate differs from something you read elsewhere? We'll walk you through the underlying calculation and the source it draws from.

Blog topic suggestions

Seen a question about EtG testing that our blog doesn't cover? Tell us. Our editorial calendar is partly driven by reader questions we see repeated.

Factual corrections

Spotted an out-of-date reference or a number that doesn't match current literature? Cite the paper you're reading from and we'll review and update the affected page.

What We Can't Help With

We're a research and editorial team, not a medical, legal, or clinical service. Please don't email us for:

  • Personal medical advice about your specific situation
  • Legal advice about probation or court-ordered testing
  • Predictions of whether you will pass or fail a specific test
  • Requests to help circumvent legitimate sobriety monitoring programs

For questions about your specific case, speak with your healthcare provider, attorney, treatment counselor, or probation officer. They have context about your situation that we don't.

Before You Email

Many common questions are already answered elsewhere on the site. It's worth checking these first - you'll usually get a faster answer:

  • The EtG calculator itself (for detection-window estimates).
  • Our blog library (covers detection windows, cutoff levels, false positives, and more).
  • The About page (explains our methodology, sources, and editorial process).
  • False-positive causes (if you're asking about mouthwash, hand sanitizer, or foods).

If you've already checked these and still have a question, send us an email and we'll get back to you.
