EtG Calculator runs entirely in your browser. The calculator and every blog article are static pages. We don't run a backend that stores your inputs, don't operate user accounts, and don't collect personally identifiable information from our tools. This page explains what data is and isn't collected, and what third-party services on the site do.

Information We Collect

We do not require accounts, logins, or email registration to use any tool on this site. The drink counts, body weight, and cutoff levels you enter into the calculator are processed locally in your browser and never transmitted to us. We cannot see your inputs, your results, or your session history.

Like most websites, our hosting provider (Cloudflare Pages) records standard server logs when your browser requests a page (IP address, user agent, request path, and timestamp). These logs are used for security, abuse prevention, and rough traffic monitoring. They are not linked to any personal profile and are retained only for as long as our host retains them by default.

Analytics

We may use privacy-respecting analytics services such as Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand which pages are visited and roughly where visitors come from. These services do not use cookies, do not fingerprint individual browsers, and do not track users across other websites. No personal data is collected by the analytics tool.

Advertising

We may display advertisements through Google AdSense. Google may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites. You may opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ad Settings. Users in the European Economic Area and United Kingdom are asked for consent before any personalized advertising is loaded, in line with GDPR and ePrivacy requirements.

Cookies and Local Storage

Our calculator may use your browser's localStorage (not cookies) to remember your last inputs so that returning visitors don't have to re-enter them. This data never leaves your device and can be cleared at any time from your browser settings. Third-party advertising services may set their own cookies as described above.

Your Rights Under GDPR and CCPA

If you are located in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or California, you have the right to access, correct, or delete personal data that a service holds about you. Because we do not collect personal data through our tools, this primarily applies to any data collected by third-party services such as Google AdSense. You can exercise those rights directly with those providers.

Children's Privacy

This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect any information from children under 13. If you believe a child has used our tools, there is nothing linked to their identity on our side (no accounts, no stored inputs), but you may contact us with any specific concern.

Changes to This Policy

If we change the way this site handles data, we will update this page and revise the “Last updated” date at the top. Material changes (for example, adding a new third-party service) will be noted clearly in the relevant section.
